German Shmidt

German Shmidt is a Senior Staff Physical Design Engineer at Alphawave Semi since November 2022, with previous experience as a Physical Design Engineer at Banias Labs and Cisco between June 2021 and June 2021, and as an IC Design Engineer at Broadcom Limited from September 2015 to January 2017. German's expertise includes SOC backend tasks such as block-level place and route, static timing analysis, and physical verification, as well as SOC frontend tasks like block-level synthesis. Prior to entering the semiconductor industry, German served as a Network Engineer in the Israeli Air Force from September 2009 to November 2012, where responsibilities included the implementation and maintenance of various communication networks. German holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Tel Aviv University, obtained between 2013 and March 2017.
