Josh Spurrier

Josh Spurrier has extensive experience in the field of research and science. Josh currently works as a Scientist at Alphina Therapeutics since August 2022. Prior to this, they held the role of a Postdoctoral Associate at Yale University from July 2018 to August 2022. Before that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine from September 2017 to June 2018. Josh also served as a Pre-doctoral Visiting Fellow at JHU-NIH from July 2011 to August 2017. Additionally, they worked as a Post-bac IRTA at NIH from July 2010 to June 2011. Josh gained industry experience as a Merck co-op at Merck & Co., Inc. from April 2009 to September 2009. Furthermore, they worked as a Research Assistant at Tetralogic Pharmaceuticals from April 2008 to September 2008 and as a Scientist at LifeSensors, Inc. from April 2007 to September 2007. Their early research experience includes being a Cancer Research Training Awardee at the National Cancer Institute - Frederick from June 2004 to September 2006.

Josh Spurrier has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from Drexel University, which they obtained between the years 2005 and 2010. Josh later pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree at The Johns Hopkins University in the field of Biology, Neuroscience, from 2011 to 2017.
