Gary Pekoe, PhD

Gary Pekoe, PhD has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Gary has held various roles throughout their career, including Chief Scientific Officer at Alphyn Biologics, Inc. starting in 2023. Previously, they worked at MMS as a Principal Medical Writer and Senior Medical Writer from 2016 to 2023. Prior to that, they served as an Expert Witness at Expert Witness Consulting from 2005 to 2023. Dr. Pekoe has also held the position of Senior Strategic Regulatory and Clinical Development professional since 1993, where they have successfully taken products through FDA approval in both big pharma and small biotech companies. Gary founded Arkios BioDevelopment Int'l in 1993, serving as President & CEO and Lead Client Liaison until 2016, providing strategic planning and regulatory affairs services to small to medium-sized biopharmaceutical and medical device companies. Additionally, Dr. Pekoe was the Director of Clinical Operations at Univax Biologics from 1991 to 1993, where they managed the clinical development of the company's first approved drug. Gary began their career at GSK as a Project Manager from 1983 to 1986.

Gary Pekoe, PhD obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Biospsychology from Aurora University in the years 1972 to 1975. Gary went on to attend the West Virginia University School of Medicine from 1977 to 1981, where they earned both their Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Pharmacology and Toxicology. In March 2016, Dr. Pekoe obtained a Transformational Life Coach certification from Paradigm Shifts Dr. Rosie Kuhn.
