Meera Chawla

Meera Chawla has extensive work experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Meera is currently working as a Principal Process Engineer at Alpine Immune Sciences, Inc. since December 2021. Prior to their current role, they worked at Lundbeck where they held the position of Principal Process Engineer in Process Development from October 2020 to November 2021. Meera also worked as a Senior Process Engineer in Manufacturing Science & Technology at Lundbeck from October 2019 to September 2020. Before joining Lundbeck, they worked at Alder BioPharmaceuticals, Inc. as a Senior Process Engineer in Process Engineering from January 2019 to October 2019, and as a Scientist in Process Engineering from April 2017 to December 2018. Meera started their career at Amgen as an Engineer in Process Engineering from January 2011 to August 2015, and earlier as an Engineer in Purification Process Development from April 2007 to January 2011. Meera began their professional journey at Genentech as an Associate Engineer in Cell Culture Process Development from February 2006 to April 2007.

Meera Chawla holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Chemical Engineering with a specialization in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Calgary. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Chemical Engineering (With Distinction) from the same university. Later, they pursued a program in Biotechnology Project Management at the University of Washington. Additionally, they have also studied Product Management at the University of Washington.
