Maëlle Basselot has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Maëlle currently holds the position of Head of Operations eCommerce at Alshaya Group since January 2023. Prior to this, from June 2019 to January 2023, they worked as the Digital Market Success Lead for Pizza Hut Digital Ventures, overseeing operations in India, Kuwait, and France. Maëlle gained consulting experience at Chalhoub Group, starting as an eCommerce Consultant from May 2017 to March 2018 and later becoming a Consultant in Digital Transformation from April 2018 to June 2019. Maëlle also contributed to the digital transformation initiatives of the British Heart Foundation as a Digital Business Partner - Fundraising for a year from January 2016 to May 2017. Before that, they held the role of Global Business Development Manager at foodpanda | hellofood from June 2014 to December 2015. Maëlle started their career as a Project Cost Controller/MSc Internship at AREVA NP in January 2013, followed by a Finance Manager/MSc Internship at ACTED from July 2012 to December 2012. Additionally, they volunteered at RaidEdhec from September 2010 to September 2012, responsible for fundraising activities, and completed a Bachelor Internship at SACEM in June 2011 as a Sales Representative. Prior to their professional career, they founded and managed a fair trade awareness association in Bobo Dioulasso, Burkina Faso, from September 2006 to September 2008.

Maëlle Basselet completed an MSc in Strategy and Innovation from EDHEC Business School Lille in 2014. In the same year, they also pursued an MSc in Strategy and Innovation from Universiteit Maastricht. In 2012, they briefly attended Pace University - Lubin School of Business, where they studied for a Master in Business Management.
