Benjamin Frazier is currently a Senior Planning Associate at ALTA PLANNING & DESIGN, INC. Prior to this, they worked at the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority from July 2015 to September 2016 as a Metro Trainee in the Transit Applications section of the Information Technology Department. In this role, they wrote Scope of Works, Board Reports, and other documents in support of projects and initiatives, prepared presentations for both advisory committees and in support of projects, and assisted in preparing an installation schedule and budget for a fleetwide (2400 buses and 275 rail cars) equipment upgrade. Benjamin also worked on projects including phase 1 of installing electronic signs at bus shelters throughout Los Angeles County, upgrading the operator interface on their on-board mobile data terminals (SmartMDT), and the installation of the newest iteration of the fleetwide incident-based surveillance system (IBSS). In addition, they attended high-level long-term strategic planning meetings.
Before working at the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Mr. Frazier held the position of Extern at Foothill Transit from March 2015 to March 2015. Prior to that, they were a Department of Transportation - Active Transportation Division - Bicycle Outreach and Planning Intern at the City of Los Angeles from October 2014 to August 2015.
Benjamin Frazier has a Master's Degree in Planning - Transportation and Infrastructure Planning Concentration from USC Sol Price School of Public Policy and a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Studies and Political Science from Santa Clara University.
