Karthikeyan Balu

Karthikeyan Balu is a Senior Technical Manager at Altair since August 2011, where Karthikeyan has architected the SmartWorks Analytics platform and led its multi-year technical roadmap. Previously, Karthikeyan served as Chief Architect and Engineering Manager, overseeing the PbsWorks platform and Altair Control, and developed an end-to-end system architecture based on asynchronous microservices. Prior experience includes roles at GE Healthcare as a Sr. Systems Specialist, where Karthikeyan re-architected legacy software into a service-oriented architecture, and at Symbian as a Software Engineer, contributing to making Symbian OS POSIX compliant. Karthikeyan began a career at HCL Technologies as a Member Technical Staff, focusing on evolving hardware-intensive structured code to modular object-oriented C++. Karthikeyan holds a B.Tech in Electronics Engineering from the Madras Institute of Technology.
