Ammar Asmro

Ammar Asmro is a Senior Machine Learning Developer at AltaML. Before joining AltaML, Asmro worked as an electrical and instrumentation technician trainee at DNO ASA, where they installed and maintained various electrical machinery and instrumentations. Ammar also worked as a photographer at UNICEF, photographing UNICEF activities and human interest stories. In addition, Asmro worked as an online tutor at Chegg Inc., using their knowledge in algorithms and data structures to teach students software development concepts. Ammar also served as an assistant manager at SALT Foundation.

Ammar Asmro received their Master of Engineering in Software Engineering and Intelligent Systems from the University of Alberta. Ammar also holds Nanodegrees in Deep Reinforcement Learning and Natural Language Processing from Udacity, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Duhok. In addition, Ammar participated in the Iraqi Young Leaders Exchange Program (IYLEP) at Virginia Commonwealth University, where they studied social media. Ammar is also certified by Databricks in Partner Training - Developer Foundations, Full Stack Deep Learning in Full Stack Deep Learning - Spring 2021, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate, and Udacity in Certificate of Completion of Natural Language Processing Nanodegree.
