Mohan Subbarao has a strong background in research and development, with extensive experience in the automotive industry. Mohan started their career at Bajaj Auto Ltd as an Assistant Manager in R&D and worked there from July 1998 to November 2003. Mohan then joined Mahindra and Mahindra Limited as a Manager for Engines from December 2004 to December 2007. After that, they worked at Ashok Leyland as a Senior Manager from December 2007 to December 2011. Mohan then joined VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd as a Senior Manager in R&D from January 2012 to July 2014, where they led the Engine Application Team and was responsible for handling Eicher Engines projects. Mohan then moved to AVTEC Limited as a DGM in R&D and worked there from August 2014 to February 2020. Currently, Mohan is working at ALTEN India as the Chief Engineer of R&D, starting from July 2020. In their current role, they are the Engineering Manager handling the design and development of a 3 Cyl Gasoline Global Engine for Passenger Car Application, with a strong focus on localization.
Mohan Subbarao pursued their Bachelor of Engineering degree in BE Mechanical (SW) from PSG College of Technology, completing their studies from 1993 to 1998. Later, in a recent period spanning from 2019 to 2021, they enrolled at The Institute of Engineers (India) and studied Electrical Engineering to earn the degree of AMIE.
