Oleh Hryniw

Oleh Hryniw, MBA, FSA, FCIA has a diverse range of work experience in the insurance and financial services industry. Oleh is currently serving as the CIO (Chief Insurance Officer) at Alteos since October 2018. Prior to that, they worked as an Actuary at wefox from March 2018 to October 2018. From 2016 to 2017, they were an Entrepreneur in Residence at Allianz X.

Oleh also has a background in education. Oleh pursued an MBA from IESE Business School, graduating in 2016. Additionally, they co-founded Impleco in 2015.

Before their entrepreneurial ventures, Oleh held various roles in actuarial positions. Oleh was a Manager, Actuarial, SAL Group at Industrial Alliance Insurance and Financial Services from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they worked as an Actuarial Analyst at the same company from 2009 to 2012. From 2006 to 2008, they served as an Actuarial Associate at The Co-operators Life Insurance Company. Oleh started their career as an Actuarial Student at Agriculture Financial Services Corporation (AFSC) in 2005.

Oleh Hryniw holds a BSc in Mathematics and Finance from the University of Alberta, indicating formal education. Oleh later pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from IESE Business School, completed between 2014-2016. Additionally, they obtained professional designations from the Canadian Institute of Actuaries, becoming a Fellow (FCIA), and from the Society of Actuaries, achieving the same distinction as a Fellow (FSA).
