Ole Bjørn Westad

Ole Bjørn Westad has over 20 years of work experience in various roles related to maintenance management and engineering. Ole Bjørn started their career at Hustadmarmor AS as an Automatikk mekaniker from 1997 to 2000. Ole Bjørn then worked at MainTech AS as a Maintenance Engineer from 2005 to 2012. After that, they joined Statoil as a Senior engineer in maintenance management from 2012 to 2018. At Equinor, starting in 2018, they worked as a Maintenance Reliability Engineer, focusing on utilizing digital approaches to optimize maintenance management. Currently, they are working at Altera Infrastructure, where they held the position of Maintenance Manager until September 2021 and is currently serving as a Director of Operation Standard & Improvements.

Ole Bjørn Westad holds a Master's Degree in MSc System Engineering, which they obtained from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) between 2012 and 2016. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Maintenance and Operations from Sør-Trøndelag University College (HiST) from 2002 to 2005. Ole Bjørn also has a degree as a Tekniker from Ålesund Tekniske Fagskole, which they earned from Teknisk Fagskole between 2000 and 2002. In addition to their formal education, Ole Bjørn Westad received a certification as a European Expert in Maintenance Management from The European Federation of National Maintenance Societies in March 2008.
