Katherine Nowakowski

Katherine Nowakowski is currently a Title XX Intern at Alternative Schools Network, mentoring students at Dr. Pedro Albizu Campos Puerto Rican High School. Previously, Katherine served as a Case Manager at Chicago Angels and as an Environmental, Health, and Safety Intern at Takeda Pharmaceuticals, where responsibilities included creating an EHS website and organizing hazardous waste manifests. Katherine also worked as a Nutrition Assistant for Division I athletes at UW-Athletics, advocating for renewable energy as an Advocacy Intern at WISPIRG Foundation Inc., and participating in the 350 Madison Benchmarking Project. Katherine conducted research as a Research Assistant at the UW Yen Nutritional Sciences Lab. Katherine holds a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Sciences and Social Welfare from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is pursuing a Master of Social Work at the University of Illinois Chicago.
