Sasikumar Kannappan

Sasikumar Kannappan has extensive experience in the technology industry, spanning over 25 years. Sasikumar began their career as a Software Consultant at Tata Consultancy Services in 1997 and later worked as a Software Engineer at KGISL. In 2000, they joined OpalSoft as a Senior Software Engineer, where they contributed to various projects for clients such as Visa USA and Concurro Inc.

In 2002, Kannappan joined Visa and held various roles, including Director of Software Engineering, where they managed a team of over 100 developers and played a key role in the design and development of critical applications for Visa's Checkout solutions. Sasikumar also served as an Architect and Lead Software Engineer, leading a team of 40+ developers and co-authoring a patent for Visa's Proximity Mobile Gateway.

In 2015, Kannappan joined CyberSource as the Chief Systems Architect before moving to Silicon Valley Bank in 2017 as an Enterprise Architecture Consultant. In this role, they led a team to optimize the Global Digital Banking platform for optimal performance and maintainability.

In 2018, Kannappan joined Citi as a Digital Transformation Specialist for TTS Online Banking, where they partnered with the business and technology leadership to execute their vision. Sasikumar later became part of the Next Generation Cloud Architecture team, focusing on payments processing.

Currently, Kannappan is the Head of Solutions Architecture at Altimetrik, where they lead a team of architects in transforming and cloud-enabling major financial application platforms. Sasikumar'sresponsibilities include mentoring architects and engineering leaders, defining best practices in cloud-based solutions and digital transformation strategies.

Sasikumar Kannappan holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Management Information Systems, General, and a Master of Science (MS) degree in Software Engineering from San Jose State University (2009-2012). Sasikumar also obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Madras (1992-1996). In addition, they have pursued additional certifications in areas such as Digital Transformation, Strategic Decision and Risk Management, and Sun Certified Java Enterprise Architect from renowned institutions like Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Stanford University.
