James Ashford has a diverse work experience history. James started their career as a Senior Business Development Executive at Urbanatomy Media Group in Shanghai, China. James then went on to work as a Business Development Executive at VirtualVillage LTD & World Brands Online. In 2010, they co-founded aTrading, where they managed import and export products, developed digital distribution channels, and oversaw team members.

In 2012, James joined Nurun as a Senior Account Manager, where they generated sales revenue and implemented strategies to drive growth and retention of key accounts. James then moved to Altium in 2014, initially working as a Project Manager, responsible for digital marketing campaigns and implementing SEO factors across social media platforms. In 2015, they transitioned to the role of Manager, Demand Generation and Media at Altium, spearheading the go-to-market strategy for demand generation and collaborating with various teams to drive growth.

Currently, James holds the position of Director Of Digital Marketing at Altium, where they have been since 2016. In their current role, they oversee all outbound and inbound demand generation campaigns, directs digital lead generation efforts, and measures and analyzes campaign performance for optimization. Recently, they have been promoted to the role of VP, Marketing Demand Strategy, indicating their increasing level of responsibility within the company.

James Ashford completed their LLB Hons Law with management studies degree at The University of Sussex from 2005 to 2009.
