Jordann Merkert

Jordann Merkert has a diverse work experience history. They have most recently worked at Alto Neuroscience since 2021, first holding the position of Associate Director, Communications & Patient Advocacy from October 2021 to December 2023, and then becoming the Director, Communications & Patient Advocacy from January 2024.

Prior to their role at Alto Neuroscience, Jordann was the Co-Founder & Board Chair of the b-present Foundation, a nonprofit organization focused on improving the quality of life and health outcomes of young adults with cancer. They were responsible for various aspects of the organization's operations, including donor cultivation, strategic partnerships, board and organizational growth, and the development and implementation of the annual strategic plan.

Jordann also has experience at Confirm BioSciences as an Integrated Communications Manager (Acquired) from July 2019 to March 2020, at Canale Communications as a Senior Account Manager from July 2017 to July 2019, and at ImprimisRx as an Investor Relations and Corporate Communications Associate from October 2015 to June 2017.

They began their career as a Medical Intern at Palomar Health from March 2015 to September 2016, and prior to that, they held the role of Business, Advertising and Marketing Manager at Point Loma Nazarene University from December 2013 to January 2015.

Jordann Merkert studied at Point Loma Nazarene University from 2013 to 2017, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in International Development. They also pursued a minor in Cell and Molecular Biology.
