Melissa Booth, MLS(ASCP)CM, has over 7 years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist. Melissa is currently employed at AltPep starting in February 2023. Previously, Melissa worked at Asante from March 2020 to May 2021, Harborview Medical Center from May 2018 to February 2020, and St. Luke's Health System from August 2017 to April 2018. In 2016, Melissa also participated in the Idaho INBRE Research Fellow program at the Idaho Veterans Research and Education Foundation, where they conducted biomedical research focused on characterizing the expression of penicillin binding proteins in Streptococcus pyogenes. Melissa's experience includes various laboratory techniques such as bacterial culture, protein purification, SDS-PAGE, western blot analysis, and chemiluminescent detection, among others.

Melissa Booth, MLS(ASCP)CM, has a strong educational background in the field of Medical Laboratory Science. Melissa obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Laboratory Science from Idaho State University, where they attended from 2014 to 2017. Prior to that, they earned an Associate of Arts degree in General Studies from Cuyamaca College, where they studied between 1997 and 1998.

In addition to their degrees, Melissa has also obtained the certification of Medical Laboratory Scientist MLS(ASCP)CM from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) in May 2018.
