Anisha Lal

Lead Communication Officer | National Security & Technology at Altus Consulting

Anisha Lal has held various roles in the national security and technology field since 1999. Anisha started their career as a Defense Analyst Intern at the Partnership for Peace Division of NATO in 1999. Later that year, they worked as a Global Communications Coordinator at the UN International Y2K Cooperation Center. In 2000, they worked as a Press Secretaries, National Security Communication, and Press Relations Writer, Researcher at Dr. William C. Spragens Public Policy & Communications Research and a CBRN Terrorism Analyst at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies. Anisha then joined the United States Federal Government in 2001, where they held the positions of WMD Nonproliferation and Counterterrorism Analyst and Staff, and Counterterrorism Operations Consultant. In 2004, they joined the Office of the Director of National Intelligence as an Executive Communications and CBRN Terrorism Analyst. In 2014, they moved to Booz Allen Hamilton as a Lead Communication Officer for National Security & Technology, where they directed the communication and marketing efforts of a U.S. government internet technology office. Finally, in 2016, they joined Altus Consulting Corporation as a Lead Communication Officer for National Security & Technology.

Anisha Lal has a comprehensive education history. Anisha earned their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in International Affairs from The George Washington University in 2000. In 2002, they obtained their Master of Arts (MA) in International Policy Studies | Nonproliferation & Counterterrorism from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey. In 2003, they completed a Certificate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Combating Bioterrorism: The Organizational Response. Anisha also has several certifications, including Nonproliferation and Counterterrorism from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey in 2000, Management, Finance, & Business Planning from Community Business Partnership in 2013, and User Experience (UX) Design Essentials from UX Design Edge in 2015. In 2017, they earned their Master of Arts (MA) in Communication from Johns Hopkins University Advanced Academic Programs. In 2019, they completed a Certificate in Public Relations from the University of Virginia.
