Kristinn Þorvaldsson

Kristinn Þorvaldsson has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Kristinn started their current position in 2021 as the Director of IT Sourcing & Delivery at Alvotech, where they lead information technology investment prioritization and oversees the digital project portfolio.

Prior to this, from 2020 to 2021, Kristinn worked at Arion banki as the Head of Development - Sopra, managing a team responsible for implementing a new payment and deposits platform. Kristinn also served as a Program Manager for the Sopra implementation project, leading a management team and overseeing a project team of approximately 90 people.

In 2018, Kristinn worked as a Project Manager at Arion banki, managing cross-functional teams and reporting to the PMO Director. Kristinn implemented a project management method that became the standard approach for the bank.

Before their time at Arion banki, Kristinn worked as a Project Manager at Landsbankinn in 2017 and held various roles at Siminn from 2007 to 2015. These roles included responsibilities such as pre-analyzing project proposals, managing accepted projects, and product and sales management in the corporate market.

Kristinn Þorvaldsson completed their Master of Project Management degree from Reykjavik University from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Education degree with a focus on Mathematics and Science between 2004 and 2007. In addition, they obtained the certification of IPMA Level D as a Certified Project Management Associate from the Project Management Association of Iceland in December 2013.
