Grace An has a diverse work experience in the field of biostatistics. Grace began their career as a Biostatistics Summer Intern at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in 2010. Grace then worked as a Research Assistant at Cleveland Clinic from 2011 to 2012. In 2012, they joined MD Anderson Cancer Center as a Graduate Research Assistant and stayed there until 2016. Grace then joined Novartis as a Principal Biostatistician from 2016 to 2018. Grace also had a summer internship at Novartis Statistical Methodology and Consulting Group in 2015. From 2018 to 2020, they worked at Seagen as a Sr. Biostatistician II, where they led statistical methodology working groups and supported NDA submission for Tukysa, the first approved NME under Project Orbis. Grace then moved to Ascendis Pharma, where they held the positions of Associate Director Biostatistics and Director Biostatistics. At Ascendis Pharma, they led statistics activities for NDA and MAA submissions of a new compound under FDA priority review. Grace's most recent work experience is with ALX Oncology, where they are currently serving as the Director of Biostatistics.
Grace An completed their education at multiple institutions. Grace obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biostatistics from UT MD Anderson Cancer Center UTHealth Houston Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, where they studied from 2012 to 2016. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Biostatistics from Case Western Reserve University, attending from 2010 to 2012. Their undergraduate studies were pursued at Shanghai University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Computer Science from 2005 to 2009.
