CEO and Principal Analyst at Amalgam Insights

Hyoun Park has a wealth of experience in the technology and business sectors. Hyoun began their career in 2004 as a Telecom Analyst at Teradyne, where they were responsible for validating telecom and mobility payments for a multi-million dollar deployment. In 2006, they worked as a Treasurer for the Committee to Elect Sam Yoon, overseeing the working budget for the city-wide election campaign. That same year, they also took on a role as an Information Services Project Coordinator and Telecom Analyst at Bose Corporation, where they coordinated timelines and resources for Information Services projects, managed workforce management and ROI management projects, and communicated with telecommunications vendors.

In 2008, Hyoun Park joined Aberdeen Group as a Research Analyst and Research Editor, covering enterprise telecom, mobility, and unified communications through primary quantitative and case-based research. Hyoun also co-developed the concept of SoMoClo (Social, Mobile, Cloud as a single platform). In 2012, they became the COO of Camberville Chow, and in 2013 they founded DataHive Consulting, providing social media as a service for B2B organizations. In 2014, DataHive Consulting was sold to Blue Hill Research, where Hyoun Park became the Chief Research Officer and Principal Analyst. Hyoun defined the research methodology for Blue Hill Research and oversaw analysts and practices in legaltech, GRC (Governance, Risk Management, Compliance), financial management, Internet of Things, wearables, enterprise mobility, security, IT management, analytics, Big Data, and Technology expense management.

In 2020, Hyoun Park took on the role of Master of Ceremonies at the Technology Expense Management Expo. In 2017, they became the CEO and Principal Analyst of Amalgam Insights, where they helped companies to cut IT costs and improve financial strategies needed to support remote work and enterprise data challenges. In 2023, they became an Official Candidate for Speaker of the House of the United States House of Representatives.

Throughout their career, Hyoun Park has advocated for greater diversity in technology and STEM.

Hyoun Park began their educational journey at Webb School of Knoxville, where they earned their high school diploma in 1994. Hyoun then attended Amherst College, where they received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Women's and Gender Studies in 2000. During their time at Amherst College, Hyoun Park also participated in the Twelve College Exchange Student program at Wellesley College from 1996 to 1997. Finally, Hyoun Park went on to pursue their MBA at the Questrom School of Business at Boston University, graduating in 2010 with a degree in Entrepreneurship and Marketing.
