Dr. Shazzat Rahat Hossain

Dr. Shazzat Rahat Hossain has a varied work experience. Starting in 2015, they worked as a Senior Lecturer at City Dental College. In 2016, they became the Creative Director at HelloDhaka online Radio Station. In 2017, they took on the role of Medical Officer- Health Insurance at BRAC, where they worked in an EU funded Urban Health Project in Dhaka, Chottogram and Mymensingh, developing policies, strategies and micro Health Insurance schemes to improve health and nutrition status of urban extreme poor. In 2018, they worked as a Coordinator (Health- Business Development Unit) at SAJIDA Foundation, closely working in hospital marketing, management and enterprise projects, as well as developing SOPs and working on capacity building of healthcare workers. That same year, they also took on the role of Program Manager at Bangladesh Breastfeeding Foundation and Sports Commentator at Radio Shadhin. In 2020, they became the General Manager, Health Programs at Spreeha Bangladesh and Chief Clinical Officer at AmarLab.

Dr. Shazzat Rahat Hossain received a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery - MBBS from Dhaka Medical College in 2014. Dr. Shazzat Rahat then went on to receive a Master of Public Health - MPH in Epidemiology from North South University.
