Neal Richter is an accomplished professional in the field of advertising technology and data science, currently serving as Director of Advertising Science at Amazon since April 2021, where oversight of real-time bidding algorithms and systems occurs alongside a team of data scientists and engineers. As Chairperson of the IAB Tech Lab since May 2019, Neal plays a crucial role in developing technical standards for real-time advertising. Neal also contributes as a Technical Advisor at Spaceback and Cognitiv, and has held key positions such as Chief Scientist at SpotX, Chief Technology Officer of Rakuten Marketing, and Chief Technology Officer at Rubicon Project. Neal’s academic credentials include a PhD and MS in Computer Science from Montana State University and Utah State University, respectively, along with an Executive Certificate in Management and Leadership from MIT Sloan School of Management.
