Dr Sarah Russell-Smith

Dr Sarah Russell-Smith has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Dr Sarah is currently serving as the Chief Strategy & Sustainability Officer at Amber Electric since February 2021. Prior to that, they worked at The Boston Consulting Group as a Project Leader from January 2015 to February 2021. Dr Sarah also had a role as the Strategic Projects Manager, Environmental Finance at WWF from April 2018 to July 2019. In addition, they pursued their PhD at Stanford University from September 2008 to December 2014, during which they also worked as a Sustainability Consultant (Office of Sustainability) from an unspecified period in 2012 to 2013. Dr Sarah started their career as a Software Engineer at Kollmorgen Electro-Optical from May 2008 to August 2008, and also worked as a Sustainability Analyst at Webcor Builders in 2011.

Dr. Sarah Russell-Smith holds a Master's Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering, with a focus on Atmosphere/Energy, from Stanford University. Dr Sarah also obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from Skidmore College. Dr. Russell-Smith further pursued their education at Stanford University, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Civil and Environmental Engineering.
