Lorna Virgo

Lorna Virgo has extensive work experience in various roles within the finance and audit industry. Lorna started their career at Ernst & Young, where they worked as an Auditor from September 2001 to August 2002. Lorna then joined PwC as a Manager from September 2003 to May 2014. Lorna later joined Chwarae Teg as a Strategic Lead, where they were responsible for implementing strategies to support women in Wales. Lorna worked in this role from May 2014 to June 2017. Lorna then moved to Gwent Police, where they served as the Head of Finance from June 2017 to September 2018. Lorna also worked as a Group Finance Director at amber energy from October 2018 to the present. Lorna has also held various board positions, including Chair of the Board of Trustees at Torfaen Leisure Trust Limited from June 2019 to June 2022, and a member of the Audit and Risk Committee at Pobl Group from May 2019 to July 2020. Lorna was also a member of the Board of Trustees at Cwmbran Trust from March 2018 to June 2022.

Lorna Virgo attended The Henry Box School from 1997 to 1999, where they obtained A levels in Mathematics. Following that, they pursued their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Maths and Accounting and Financial Management from Loughborough University, where they studied from 1999 to 2003.
