Will Colban

Will Colban is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in operations and engineering leadership. Currently serving as General Manager of US Operations at Amber Kinetics since July 2021, Will has held multiple key roles within the same company, including Director of Engineering and Lead Validation Engineer from June 2016 to July 2021. Prior to this, Will was a Senior Development Engineer at LightSail Energy, contributing significantly to the development of a prototype high-pressure air compressor for a compressed air energy storage system. Additionally, Will's background includes positions such as Test Engineer at Alstom Power and postdoctoral research at Sandia National Laboratories, focusing on advanced thermal diagnostics and combustion research. Will's academic credentials include a PhD, MS, and BS in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech.
