Kamran Imam has an extensive work experience in the field of data science and petroleum engineering. Kamran began their career in 2009 as a Lead Analyst for Production Operations Engineering and Subsurface/Exploitation Engineering at the Pakistan Petroleum Limited. In 2013, they took on the role of Guest Lecturer at the NED University of Engineering & Technology in Karachi. In 2017, they joined the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) as a Member of the Engineering Practice Examination (EPE) Curriculum & Experts Committee for Petroleum & Gas Eng. From 2018 to 2021, they worked as an Independent Consultant and Data Scientist. During 2021, they held the roles of Data Scientist at Canadian Tire Corporation and Data Analyst at Statistics Canada. Kamran is currently employed as a Data Scientist at Ambyint since 2022.

Kamran Imam has a diverse educational background. In 2019-2020, they obtained a Diploma leading to MS in Data Science and Business Analytics from the University of Calgary. In 2011-2012, they received a Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering from Imperial College London. Between 2005 and 2008, they earned a Bachelor of Petroleum Engineering from the NED University of Engineering and Technology. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including PowerBI from Udemy in 2020, Provisional Licensee (Engineering) from The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) in 2020, Excel/VBA for Creative Problem Solving, Part 1 from Coursera in 2019, Chartered Engineer (CEng) from the Energy Institute in 2018, and Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in 2018.
