Joseph Veiga

Joseph Veiga has extensive work experience in the field of trade compliance and logistics. Joseph started their career in 1989 as a Domestic Transportation Specialist at SkyKing Freight Systems (now part of DHL Global Forwarding). From 1994 to 2000, they worked as the Director of Import Services - Southwest Region at Circle International (now part of CEVA Logistics).

In 2000, Joseph joined Ashland Inc. as a Senior Product Information Specialist, specializing in environment, health, and safety. Joseph then moved on to DB Schenker in 2003, where they served as the Customs and Export Compliance Manager, providing import/export advice and supporting Customs Brokerage bid opportunities.

In 2004, Joseph became the General Manager of the General Purpose FTZ at Forward Air, responsible for managing warehousing operations. Joseph later joined Walmart in 2005 as the Senior Customs Compliance Manager.

In 2008, Joseph began a new role as the Vice President of International Trade Compliance at Amentum. In the same year, they also joined DynCorp International as the Director of Trade Compliance and Empowered Official. In this role, they provided direction and oversight for the Global Trade Compliance department, served as the subject matter expert in import and export compliance, and handled licensing and permitting, classification and commodity jurisdiction, due diligence screening, logistics and transportation, and Empowered Official responsibilities.

Throughout their career, Joseph Veiga has gained extensive experience and expertise in trade compliance, import/export regulations, logistics, and transportation management.

Joseph Veiga pursued an Associates Degree in Business Administration from Tarrant County College from 2010 to 2012.
