Alex Cate

Alex Cate, PE, CEM, is a Manager of Engineering at Ameresco, where responsibilities include engineering and project management for energy savings performance contracts primarily with the federal government since December 2008. Previously, as a Senior Project Engineer, Alex developed energy performance projects across various government facilities, which involved conducting energy audits, identifying energy-saving measures, performing calculations, and managing construction for large-scale projects. Prior experience includes engineering internships at Matrix Technologies and Unitrac Railroad Components, as well as a role as a Consultative Sales Associate in Electronics at Sears Holdings Corporation. Alex holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, earned between 2005 and 2009.
