Jared Smith

Jared Smith is an experienced project development manager currently positioned at Ameresco since January 2024. As the founder of Smith Energy Technology, LLC from May 2018 to January 2024, Jared established a company focused on project advisory, management, and brokerage for new-energy technologies. Prior to this, Jared served as a consultant at PA Consulting Group, where expertise in distributed energy resources and microgrids was applied to advise clients on energy industry dynamics. During a tenure at Booz Allen Hamilton, solutions were provided to various federal clients regarding infrastructure project management and environmental compliance, and earlier positions included roles at the Naval Facilities Engineering Command and Franklin College Switzerland. Educational achievements include a Master of Science in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science and Policy from Duke University.
