Regional Director, Project Development - Smart Building Solutions Group at Ameresco

Lucas Dixon has an extensive work experience in the field of smart building controls and solutions. Lucas started their career at Plug Smart in 2010, where they held various roles including Sales & Marketing Associate, Engineering Team Leader, and Project Developer. During their time at Plug Smart, Lucas played a key role in the growth of the company and developed the state of Michigan's energy efficiency market. In 2021, Lucas joined Ameresco as the Regional Director, Project Development - Smart Building Solutions Group. In this position, they are responsible for leading renewable energy projects and ESPC-funded energy solutions across six states. Lucas has secured self-performing contracts and has a strong track record in design, build, installation, and support of energy efficient systems.

Lucas Dixon obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a minor in Entrepreneurship from The Ohio State University in 2009. In 2016, they completed Seth Godin's Alt MBA program, specializing in creatively destroying self-imposed barriers to making change. Additionally, Lucas acquired certifications as a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) from the Association of Energy Engineers in 2011 and as a Certified Building Inspector (CBI) from the Building Performance Institute, Inc. in 2010.
