Thomas Kappelmeier

Thomas Kappelmeier has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Thomas is currently employed as the Director of Project Development at Ameresco since April 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Archaea Energy as the Director of Biogas Special Projects from November 2020 to March 2022. Thomas also had a significant tenure at Air Liquide, where they held various roles including Director of Clean Energy Solutions from January 2018 to November 2020 and Sr Manager of Technology & Business Development - Clean Energy Solutions in October to December 2017. Before that, they served as Manager of Engineered Systems from January 2016 to October 2017, Project Manager from May 2014 to December 2015, and Sr Project Engineer from March 2012 to May 2014.

Thomas started their career as a Design Engineer at DuPont in September 1988 and later worked at Solvay as a Process Engineer from March 1991 to January 1993. Thomas then joined The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company as a Plant Engineering/Supervisor from January 1993 to February 1995 and IMC Global as a Plant Manager from February 1995 to September 1997. Thomas worked as a Manufacturing Manager at General Chemical from September 1997 to May 2000 and at Rohm and Haas Electronic Materials from May 2000 to October 2008, where they also had a role as a Process Improvement Engineer/Project Manager from March 2005 to October 2008. Finally, they served as a Project Engineer/Design Engineer at W.L. Gore & Associates from October 2008 to December 2011.

Thomas Kappelmeier earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Binghamton University in 1988.
