Heather Vanness

Heather VanNess has extensive experience in the field of addiction treatment and nursing, currently serving as the Assistant Director of Admissions at American Addiction Centers since October 2017. Prior to this role, Heather worked at Sunrise House from July 2008 to 2017, where responsibilities included evaluating potential patients and obtaining insurance authorizations. Heather's career in admissions began in 1997 at Sunrise House Foundation, where essential tasks included conducting phone screenings, verifying insurance benefits, and facilitating admissions. Before specializing in admissions, Heather held nursing positions in adolescent inpatient and detox programs, providing comprehensive care to patients. Heather's nursing education was completed at Sussex County Technical School in 1993, and earlier studies took place at Rutgers University.
