Sara Deyoung

Sara DeYoung is an accomplished professional in the museum and cultural sector, currently serving as the Head of Visitor Experience at The Metropolitan Museum of Art since November 2022. With extensive experience at institutions such as PRATT INSTITUTE as a Curriculum Coordinator and Visiting Assistant Professor, DeYoung promotes awareness and skill development in museums and digital culture. As a Freelance Consultant, DeYoung provides evaluation and engagement strategies to various arts organizations and contributes as a Peer Reviewer for the American Alliance of Museums' Museum Assessment Program. Previous roles include Director of Visitor Experience and Engagement at the Brooklyn Museum and Senior Content Developer at Hilferty Museum Planning & Exhibit Design, among others. DeYoung holds a Master of Arts in Museum Studies from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Civilization from Emory University.
