Monika Lemke

Editorial Fellow: Political And Legal Anthropology Review at American Anthropological Association

Monika Lemke has extensive experience in the fields of anthropology, legal studies, and education. Currently serving as an Editorial Fellow for the Political and Legal Anthropology Review at the American Anthropological Association since August 2021 and as a Research Assistant with Principal Investigator Eve Haque, Monika has also held the position of Teaching Assistant at York University since September 2017. Previous roles include Research Fellow at the Nathanson Centre for Transnational Justice and Human Rights and Permissions Coordinator at Oxford University Press. Monika's early career features editorial and event photography roles, as well as positions in writing consultation and merchandising. Monika is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Socio-legal Studies from York University, having completed Master's Degrees in English and Law from Ryerson University and Carleton University, respectively, where a Bachelor's Degree in Law and Legal Studies was also obtained.
