Daniel Andresen

Daniel Andresen, CPP has a diverse work experience in the field of security and operations spanning over 30 years. Daniel started their career in 1992 as a Non-Commissioned Officer-Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. Following that, they joined the U.S. Department of State as a Uniformed Security Officer, providing armed security for high-profile individuals and leading counter surveillance activities.

In 2003, Daniel joined Ernst & Young, LLP as a Security Manager, where they developed and managed the firm's travel security and executive protection programs. Daniel then moved to International SOS in 2005, serving as the Regional Security Operations Manager and Security Services Manager. In this role, they provided security advice, crisis response, and managed security consulting engagements for clients across the region.

Daniel's career also includes their time at International SOS and Control Risks. From 2009 to 2011, they worked as the Regional Security Manager for the MEA region, leading security assistance and travel security consulting services. Daniel then served as the Security Director for Southern Africa, building and maintaining relationships with clients and stakeholders. From 2014 to 2015, Daniel worked as the Security Director for Latin America, providing timely advice and support during major incidents and emergencies.

Their most recent role was at the American Bar Association, where they held the position of Director-Global Security, responsible for ensuring safety, security, and appropriate controls across 45 countries. Daniel then served as the Chief Operating Officer of Global Programs, providing leadership and vision for the organization's operations, including financial management and operational efficiency.

Throughout their career, Daniel Andresen has demonstrated their expertise in security management, crisis response, relationship building, and leadership.

Daniel Andresen, CPP has a Master of Science in Law degree from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. Daniel also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Management from Strayer University. Daniel obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in History from Virginia Tech. In addition, they are certified as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) by ASIS International in 2005.
