Karl Zelik

Karl Zelik is an accomplished academic and industry professional currently serving as an Associate Professor at Vanderbilt University since August 2014 and also holds the position of Chief Scientific Officer at HeroWear since July 2018. Zelik has been a Board Member for the American Bionics Project since March 2020. Previous experience includes a role as a Post-Doctoral Researcher at Fondazione Santa Lucia from May 2012 to July 2014 and completing a PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan between January 2008 and April 2012. Zelik's foundational education was obtained at Washington University in St. Louis, where a BS-MS in Biomedical Engineering was earned from 2002 to 2007.
