Minal Patel Ph.D.

Senior Principal Scientist at American Cancer Society

Minal Patel, PhD, MPH, currently serves as a Senior Principal Scientist at the American Cancer Society since July 2022. Prior experience includes serving as Director at the Truth Initiative from June 2018 to July 2022 and as an Adjunct Instructor at The Johns Hopkins University from January 2017 to January 2022. Minal completed a fellowship as a Cancer Prevention Fellow at the National Cancer Institute from June 2014 to July 2018 and held adjunct instructor positions at The Johns Hopkins University and UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. In earlier roles, Minal worked as Project Director and Research Analyst at UCLA Div. of Cancer Prevention & Control Research and as a Research Associate and Graduate Teaching Assistant at San Diego State University. Academic credentials include a PhD in Public Health from UCLA, an MPH from San Diego State University, and a BA in Psychology with a minor in Education from the University of California, Berkeley.
