Sarah Shafir

Sarah Shafir is an accomplished healthcare and policy professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various organizations. Currently serving as Vice President of National Roundtables & Coalitions at the American Cancer Society since July 2015, Shafir has previously held multiple strategic positions within the organization, including Managing Director of National Partnerships & Innovation and Strategic Director of State and National Systems. Prior to this, Shafir worked at the U.S. Department of State from August 2011 to August 2014, where responsibilities included advising the U.S. Ambassador of Australia and managing organizational priorities. Early career experiences encompass significant roles in health initiatives and tobacco control at the Maine Department of Behavioral and Developmental Services and the Maine Bureau of Health, among others. An educational background includes a Master of Public Health from Tulane University and a Bachelor of Science in Community Health from the University of Maine at Farmington.
