Katariina Franklin

Katariina Franklin has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Katariina is currently serving as the Acting Chief Operating Officer at AmCham HK, where they oversee the operations of the Chamber and leads the transformation efforts in streamlining and digitizing business processes.

Prior to their current role, Katariina worked as a Project and Transformation Management Consultant at Mainstay Asia. In this position, they provided consulting services for the implementation of IFRS17 reporting, focusing on governance, reporting, and business unit coordination transformation. Katariina also provided expertise in the digital transformation of the project portfolio management system.

Before joining Mainstay Asia, Katariina held various leadership positions at HSBC. Katariina served as the Global Head of Portfolio Management Office at HSBC Securities Services, leading a team to ensure the safe delivery of strategic programs through effective governance and controls. Katariina also engaged key stakeholders and developed training and communication initiatives for project management staff.

Earlier in their career, Katariina worked at JPMorgan Chase in several roles, including Vice President, Audit Manager; Vice President, APAC Inter-Affiliate Services Lead; Vice President, Head of New Business Implementation Group, Investor Services; Vice President, Senior Program Manager; Vice President, Treasury Services Global Client Access; Vice President, Middle Market Information Technology; and Senior Technology Officer, Wholesale Architecture and E-Commerce. In these positions, they were responsible for managing complex deals, executing strategic initiatives, and providing expertise in technology and project management.

Katariina began their career as an Associate at JPMorgan Chase, where they were involved in market research and product development strategies in the Middle Market Banking Group.

Katariina Franklin earned their Master of Science in Information Technology (MSIT) from Carnegie Mellon University from 1999 to 2002. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in International Business and Financial Management at Pace University from 1995 to 1997. In terms of additional certifications, Katariina obtained the Python For Managers certification from Emeritus in December 2020.
