Alberto Ramos, MD, MSPH, FAASM, FAAN, currently serves as a Committee Member at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute and is part of the Editorial Board for the American College of Chest Physicians. As a Professor of Neurology at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, Alberto has been involved in sleep medicine and neurology since July 2008. Previous roles include editorial board member for Brain and Life Magazine Español with the American Academy of Neurology and consultant positions at SurgiMon and 2nd.MD. Alberto's educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine from UCC School of Medicine, two master's degrees from the University of Miami in Epidemiology and Public Health and Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science, and a Bachelor's degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Puerto Rico.
