Navitha Ramesh M.D. Fccp

Navitha Ramesh MD FCCP serves as the Vice Chair of the Department of Medicine at UPMC Central PA since January 2024. With extensive experience at UPMC since July 2019, Navitha holds multiple roles including Fellowship Program Director of Critical Care Medicine and ICU Medical Director. Involvement in professional organizations includes positions with the American College of Chest Physicians as a member of various task forces and the Vice Chair of the Ultrasound and Chest Imaging Section, as well as contributing as Resident Bootcamp Faculty for the American Thoracic Society. Navitha previously served as President of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the Society of Critical Care Medicine from August 2021 to August 2023. Educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and an MD from the University of Rochester, where residency training in Internal Medicine was completed.
