Margaret Pinto Wells is an accomplished leader in medical education and assessment, currently serving as Vice President of Learning Assessment, Accreditation, and Research at the American College of Physicians since March 2004. With a history of progressively responsible positions, Margaret has spearheaded initiatives that enhance continuing medical education, residency assessment programs, and research operations. Previously, as Director of Assessment and Educational Programs, Margaret managed a digital learning management system utilized by over 70,000 internal medicine physicians and directed the transition of examinations to online formats. Additional roles include Managing Editor and Senior Staff Editor, demonstrating expertise in editorial processes, budget management, and content development across numerous medical publications. Margaret holds a Master of Education in Education Policy and Leadership from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a degree in Journalism from Temple University.
