American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS)
Natalie Deam has extensive academic experience in French literature and creative writing, currently serving as a MFA candidate in Creative Writing and the Environment at Iowa State University since 2019. Deam holds the position of ACLS/Mellon Dissertation Completion Fellow at the American Council of Learned Societies since 2018 and has been a Lead Teacher at Stanford University since 2014, instructing various French language courses and film series. Additional roles at Stanford include Co-Teacher for honors workshops and Tutor for multiple language programs. Deam earned a PhD in French from Stanford University in 2019 and a Bachelor of Arts in French, English, and Comparative Literature from the University of Iowa in 2013.
