Betsy Cooper

Betsy Cooper has a diverse work experience. Betsy currently holds the position of Director of Institutional Research at the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) since April 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Research and Data Analyst at the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) from May 2017 to March 2022. Betsy also served as a Research Associate at the Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI) from January 2015 to April 2017. Earlier in their career, they worked at the University of Washington in various roles such as Writing Center Director, Instructor, Teaching Assistant, and Research Assistant from 2008 to 2014. As the Writing Center Director, they successfully managed and improved the center's operations, increased usage, and conducted data analysis and reporting.

Betsy Cooper began their education at Hendrix College, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science and Government in 2008. Betsy then pursued their Master of Arts (M.A.) in American Government and Politics (United States) at the University of Washington, completing their studies in 2011. Subsequently, Cooper continued their education at the University of Washington, obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Political Science in 2014. Concurrently, in 2012, they also earned a certificate from the Center for Statistics and Social Sciences at the University of Washington. Later, Cooper furthered their studies in Epidemiology at the Foundation for Advanced Education in the Sciences (FAES) at the National Institutes of Health, specializing in Epidemiology I and II. Their education history reflects a focus on political science, government, and statistics.
