James Zhan, MS, RD has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the healthcare and research field. James is currently serving as the Communications Director at the American Diabetes Association. Prior to this, they were a PHD Student at Emory University, focusing on studying the effect of microbial metabolites on Alzheimer's disease. James has also worked as a Visiting Researcher and Clinical Research Coordinator at the Cleveland Clinic, conducting research in the healthcare field. Additionally, James has served as a Primary Researcher and Graduate Student Researcher at Case Western Reserve University, and as a Dietetic Intern at both Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. James then pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Public Health Nutrition at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in 2019-2020. Currently, James is working towards their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nutrition and Health Sciences at Emory University from 2021 to 2026. In addition to their academic degrees, they have obtained various certifications including being a Registered Dietician (RD) by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in 2021. James has also acquired additional knowledge and skills through certifications like Deep Learning Specialization from Stanford University and Mathematics for Machine Learning from Imperial College London. James has completed several other certifications related to their field of expertise.
