Lietta Scott has extensive experience in educational measurement and assessment, currently serving as a member of the National Council on Measurement in Education (NCME) since 2006 and the American Educational Research Association since 2003. From June 2006 to September 2018, Lietta held various roles at the Arizona Department of Education, including Director of Psychometrics, where responsibilities involved conducting psychometric and validity analyses for multiple assessments, and contributed to the development of the AZELLA English Proficiency Assessment. Previous roles include Measurement Research Scientist and Assessment Research Scientist, focusing on validity arguments, test development, and accommodation effects. Lietta also chaired the NCME Committee on Diversity Issues in Testing and was an Executive Secretary for the Mesa Educational Association. Educational qualifications include a PhD and MA in Psych in Education with a focus on Measurement, Statistics, and Methodological Studies from Arizona State University, along with earlier degrees in Educational Technology and Secondary Education.
