Ian Laverty - Fsa, Cfa, Maaa

Ian Laverty is an experienced actuary with a strong background in the insurance industry. Ian is currently serving as the VP of Annuity Product Innovation at American Equity since July 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Delaware Life Insurance Company as the AVP of Variable Annuity Product Development from June 2020 to July 2022.

Ian also has consulting experience as a Consulting Actuary at Milliman from November 2018 to June 2020. Before that, they held a leadership position as Vice President of Annuity Product Management at Ohio National Financial Services from May 2015 to October 2018. In this role, they were responsible for determining annuity product strategy and design, managing in-force policies, and overseeing contract state filings and implementation.

Ian started their career as an Actuary at Western & Southern Financial Group in January 2006 and remained in that role until May 2015. Throughout their career, Ian has consistently demonstrated expertise in actuarial analysis, product development, and strategic planning within the insurance industry.

Ian Laverty received a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science from Robert Morris University, where they studied from 2002 to 2005.
