Kim Labarbiera

Kim LaBarbiera serves as Director & Counsel in the Cybersecurity, Privacy and Third-Party Risk Management Group at American Express, providing legal support and strategic advice on cybersecurity, privacy, and third-party risk management since December 2021. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Manager in the Chief Risk Office at USAA, where responsibilities encompassed anti-money laundering efforts, and serving as Attorney at KL JD, LLM Legal and Risk Consulting, focusing on compliance and regulatory counsel for clients such as Societe Generale. Additional legal roles include in-house counsel for Folio Investing and an attorney at the Securities Exchange Commission, where participation in the Division of Enforcement was prominent. Kim holds a Master of Laws (LLM) from Georgetown University Law Center and continues education at UC Berkeley.
