John A. Denhardt, P.E. FSFPE has over 30 years of experience in the field of fire protection engineering. John A. currently holds the position of Vice-President of Engineering and Technical Service at the American Fire Sprinkler Association (AFSA). In this role, they oversee and manages engineering and technical services for the organization.

Prior to their current position, Denhardt worked at Strickland Fire Protection as a Senior Project Manager, Quality Control Manager, and Facility Security Officer. John A. was responsible for supervising large-scale projects, ensuring quality control in fire suppression and fire alarm systems, and handling security issues for government and private clients.

John A. also gained experience as a Fire Protection Engineer at M.K. Ferguson Company, where they contributed to fire protection design and the interpretation of building codes.

Denhardt began their career at Pyron, Inc. as a Fire Protection Engineer.
