Senior Director, Strategy And Partnerships, Tree Equity at American Forests

Alana Tucker, AICP, serves as the Senior Director of the Tree Equity Alliance at American Forests since May 2024. Previously, Alana held the position of Program Manager for Tree City Programs at Arbor Day Foundation from July 2020 to May 2024, where responsibilities included network leadership, partnership cultivation, strategic initiatives, thought leadership, and fundraising for urban forestry programs. Alana's experience also includes roles as Urban Innovation Manager and Business Improvement Zone Project Manager at Downtown Detroit Partnership, Fellow at Challenge Detroit, and Graduate Student Instructor at the University of Michigan. Alana holds a Master’s Degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in International Business from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, along with ongoing coursework at Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
